Punk’s Backyard Ultra was a truly unique experienc Punk’s Backyard Ultra was a truly unique experience! I haven’t photographed many trail races, and this was by far the longest I’ve spent covering one. Yet, somehow, those 12 hours flew by surprisingly quickly! Since it’s a loop-based ultra, the whole event has a completely different vibe. There’s a camp where runners and their crews settle in, creating a little community that stays together throughout the race. To be brutally honest, if you’re used to short road races, where many 5K runners are chasing their next big running achievement, stepping into this world feels quite different. You’re surrounded by experienced runners who seem to operate on a completely different wavelength. I don’t mean to make them sound like some special breed of human, but you can definitely feel the difference. 😂 At first, it almost feels like you’ve wandered into a gathering of wild men straight out of the woods, with one notable exception: a coffee buddy of mine who, for a fact, isn’t quite that tough and is probably there more for the great food and wonderful company! 😂 But after a while, you get used to the atmosphere and realize that behind all that toughness and endurance are some genuinely warm and friendly people. A very different kind of running community, and an amazing experience to capture through my camera! #backyardultra #backyardultramacedonia

With 10 laps for the elite riders, I could afford to “sacrifice” a few moments. When you’re hired to photograph an event, panning shots always feel like a luxury. I’ve never been entirely comfortable spending precious moments experimenting. But at some point, you have to practise. Apparently, that moment to practise panning has never really come. 😅 Runners are a little easier, but even then, maybe one shot in 50 turns out right, and I’m lucky if only the face is completely in focus! #roadbike #roadcycling #roadcyclist

Belgrade Business Run 2026 If you want to be compl Belgrade Business Run 2026 If you want to be completely overwhelmed taking photos, go to the Belgrade Business Run! 😅📸 It’s my second time photographing this event, with around 10,000 runners and walkers starting in 6–7 waves. The first quarter of the event is in bright daylight, then the light gradually fades until you’re shooting in complete darkness. Different light, different conditions, thousands of people, and countless moments happening all at once. Definitely not an easy event to photograph — but an amazing one! 📸🔥

Most of my work is focused on photographing people Most of my work is focused on photographing people, from sports portraits and street photography to various events and situations where people are the main subject. But this is my first attempt at studio portrait photography, shot in an improvised corner that was turned into a small studio during a Canon photo shoot, basically, a controlled environment with two lights. For anyone who has ever wondered whether producing photos like this is easy or difficult, here’s my answer: this is probably the easiest type of photography I have ever done. The model is perfect. Every time she moves, the pose works. The camera settings stay consistent, the lighting setup stays consistent, and you have complete control over the environment. You can experiment with the power of the lights, change their angles, and position them to get exactly the kind of shadows you want on the face. But once everything is set up, it’s basically just: click, click, click. Compared to sports, street, or event photography, where the light, subject, background, and moment are constantly changing, a controlled studio setup like this is incredibly predictable. Of course, that doesn’t devalue the work that goes into it. You still need to know your lighting, understand your camera settings, work with a model, and have the right equipment. And, of course, owning and knowing how to use good gear.
